What is your unique selling proposition?

 

Hey, it’s Mike again from M Business and Marketing Solutions.

 

Today I want to talk about one thing that you must always remember — your unique selling proposition.

 

Also, we’ll see how we will go with the unique selling proposition to attract ideal and potential clients.

 

What is the unique selling proposition? What does that mean?

 

You may have heard the point of parity, point of difference and all these jargon words. But let me just break it down clearly.

 

Are you doing the same thing to a certain customer as what you are doing to your other customers? Then, this is what you call the point of parity. It is important to provide similar services to your customers. But what makes you unique? What makes a customer choose you over the next person? Is it your certain style of work? Maybe your workmanship? The price? What is it? Well, that is something that you really need to look at this year.

 

It’s really important to do certain things before you go out and start to get new customers.

You should think about who you are, what type of business you want and what type of brand are you. Do you have a catchy phrase? A mission statement? What is the focus of the business and who is your target audience?

 

I’ll give you an example.

 

“I love service-based businesses. I like people who just sell products as well but I love service-based businesses. I love trainings. You know I love people who give service. And I think, I just love it.”

 

There’s really something about it. Probably because since 80’s I’ve been selling. I mean I’ve been selling services since 1997. You know, door-to-door, all different ways and it’s been a long journey but I still love it. I still love selling, I still love marketing and that’s why I’m here today.

 

But think about it, what is unique about you? What is it that makes a person say, “man I want to come back to him?”

BUSINESS GAME CHANGER 2019: How to Improve Your Business

 

Hi everybody, Mike here from M Business and Marketing solutions.

Happy New Year! Happy 2019!

This year can be a real game changer if you want it to be.

I want to give you some tips. I want to give you some ideas on how to make this year the most prosperous year.

You may have thought last January, oh I want to do this, I want to do that, I want to do this, I want to do that.

 

Let’s make this year different and that’s by:

  • Making some smart calls
  • Making some specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and time measured goals

 

 

How do you improve your business goals?

 

So the first one, increase sales from new customers.


This is
pretty straight forward. But how do we do that? I’m going to talk to you about that.

 

Secondly, increase the price of your products and services.


How do we do that? So these are just ideas, but I’m going to do some other videos, coming forward to talk about each of these things.

 

The third one, upsell your products and services to existing clients, to existing customers.


You might say, oh I’m just a one off, I just go in, I do what I have to do, and I come out. Maybe not. There might be something that we can do that gets you back in front of those people.

 

Number four. Decrease retention rates of existing and ongoing customers.


This is a really big one. You know, if you have regular customers last year, you may have had a bit of hemorrhaging, You may have lost a few customers that you had, and you may have started the business. You may have a lot of customers, and now you don’t have so many customers.

 

How do we stop that? Is there something in your business that can make that to go away? Or is it mainly because of the season, maybe it’s the industry? But let’s talk about that.

 

Number five, increase your conversion rate from the inquiry to the sale.


How do we increase the rate of sales that you’re actually getting?

 

What you should always remember?


There are two important things that we must always remember when we’re really talking about all this other stuff.


The first thing is,
what is unique about you? Why would anybody want to go with you in the first place? That’s the first thing.


The second thing is, which is here,
who are you wanting to target? What is your ideal client?


There are social media and the talk about avatars.


What is your client avatar? What do they smell like? What do they taste like?


But it really, it’s an old thing. You know when our business coach came to us and said who is your ideal client, I said well anybody who walks. Anybody’s got to business, I’ll sell a website to, anybody’s got a business. I’ll do that.


But then I realised that that’s not always the best way. So we want to really share in those circumstances.


So over the next few videos that we’re going to do, I’m going to talk about how we can focus on these things, to really make 2019 your biggest year.


It’s a game changer. It’s a game changer, okay?
